I’m one of three out queer residents in my program (and there are two more who are not out but who have confided in me), and then we have two out queer faculty in my department.
I know four residents who fall on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. My personal doctor is gay. One of my professors this semester is gay. And I know many a nurse who is LGBTQ+
The Gays are literally everywhere
Oh yeah, I had residents in my cohort, the ones above and below me too who identified somewhere on the LGBTQIA spectrum.

nobody talks about how ugly taking care of yourself can be
yes, sometimes it’s taking a warm bath and texting memes to friends and keeping an aesthetically pretty journal.
sometimes it’s crying silently on your couch at 3am, hugging yourself and reminding yourself that you’re a good person.
self care is not always ‘aesthetic’ and cute…and that’s ok. don’t be embarrassed, just do what you need to do.
